A price for passage!!!!
We were safe and we saw over the horisen the rocky island of the six headed monster. I did not tell my men what awaited us I just told them to steer as close to the rocks as possible. I put my armor on ready to kill the beast and then we saw the whirlpool and we rowed as far away from it as possible. As we were looking at the whirlpool the beast struck and each one of her heads picked up one of my men they screamed and I turned round. She slipped back into the tower of smoke. We were all upset and then we saw an island with cattle grazing on it but no sign of human life. I then remembered Tiresias's warning!!!!
Siren song!!!!
I wanted to hear the the song of the sirens so I got my men to tie me to the mast so I couldn't get off the ship. I also told them not to listen to a word I said. So they put wax in thier ears so they couldn't hear me or the sirens. As we rowed past the island I pulled at the ropes trying to get them off but I couldn't the sound was to beutiful. On the island to creatures sat a women with the body of a vulture and the head of a women singing. I couldn't see only hear I started to go mad. But when we passed them I started to return to normal, but all other nosies sound horrible now!!!!
Back from the dead!!!!
I can still smell the smell of dead. Day and night returned. We went back to Circe's island we feasted and I took Circe to one side and told her what we had learnt. She told me that I had to finish several trials before I reach the island of the sun god Hyperion. She told me of the Sirens and of the two rocks I would have to steer my boat through on one side of the rocks was a whirlpool that would swallow my boat, but on the other side there was a tower with a six headed monster which would eat six of my men. I had to choose a side and I didn't know which one. She said to me you either lose six lives or you lose all!!!!

Bewitched
We saw sight of land and we made right for it. We landed on the beach I left my men on the shore and went up a hill in the distance I could see a forest with a big palace in the middle. I went back down to the shore to tell my men but they were gone! I saw a path in the forest so I followed it and got to the palace were my men were all ready inside. A mistress was feeding them and then she brought out a wand and in turn touched one of my men on the head and they turned into pigs! Suddenly behind me Hermes appered. He told me who this witch was and how to defeat her. Hermes does not always tell the truth but I had to believe him this time. Hermes made me put the petal of Moly in my mouth for pretection. I went back up to the castle Circe invited me in she gave me food and drink. She put her wand to my neck nothing happened I drew my sword and she dropped her wand. She restored my men to humans and said we were welcome she asked us to stay for a month so she could fix our boat. A year passed and my men wanted to leave so Circe said yes but now we have to travel to the under world to meet Tiresias so we could get home!!!!

A Way Home
Me and my men sailed away from that strange island and we all thought there would be a great storm as the cyclopes father was posiedon god of the sea. But to our elief there was not a single breeze this ment my men had to row harder and put alot more effort in to it. Until we saw in the distance a large floating city with walls of bronze and gates of silver we sailed up to them and the guards shouted down that we could eat and drink and come in for exchange of telling our tales to the King. We said of course because we were starving! For 7 days and nights we told tales of our travels and every night a huge feast was set out in front of us. We were ready to leave but the King led me up to his room while my men were sorting the ship out ready to set sail. He pionted at an alcove and pulled the curtain back I saw a sack tied with silk string and I said to him what is it and he replied Zeus is my friend and he is in the middle of a feud with his brother posiedon Zeus has stolen the winds of the world of him and put them in this sack and has given them to me for safe keeping but I give them to you now my friend one snake out of this sack will sail you right back to your rocky Ithica. He gave me the whole sack bu he had already released the one snake to get us home. I thanked him and left. I got back to my ship and said to my men in this sack is the greatest gift I have ever been given, and we set sail for home. For 9 days and nights we sailed not having to row or steer I stayed awake to make sure the sack was ok and I never let anyone touch it. At last I saw her rocky Ithica in all her glory I told my men to wake me up when I could jump of the ship and plant my feet on the ground. I fell fast asleep and that was the worst mistake I made. Posiedon saw I was asleep and made a flick with his hand and a huge wave made our ship climb. As it did so the sack slide from my side and fell into the lap of one of my men he decided that they always share the treasure evenly so he thought there was no harm in seeing the share he was going to get. He opened it and all the snakes of wind whirled into the sky and waves hit us from all directions. This woke me up. Itaica was within reaching distance but within seconds it was gone and the wind directions threw us around like we were a ball to play catch with. We then saw the strange floating Island again and we fought our way to the bronze gates and we were in away from the storm. I went up to see the King he was in the middle of a feast and when I told him what had happened he through us out of the city saying that they were relient of the sea god to keep them alive so he made us leave the city with immdiate effect. How rude is he? The sea God wanted us dead we could see it in the sky and the sea. How would we ever see rocky Ithica again more importantly would we ever see rocky Ithica again?!!!
A Way out
The next morning we woke up and as usual the cyclopes let his herds out but he had to feel round the cave to know where they were. But what he did not know was that me and my remaining men were tied to the underneth of the sheep. I had held the big head ram back for he was the easiest to tie yourself onto. But when the ram ran past the cyclopes the cyclopes held him back and said " You are the leader of the herd. The first to leave the cave each morning and munch the juciy grass yet today, when all the others have gone you stay to keep me company." In the end he let the ram go and within seconds I was gulping in fresh air and the light was blinding. I couldn't help myself I shouted back to him and said "Polyphemus it was not nobody who blinded you. It was the great Odysseus who did the deed!
